My husband and I were exploring Central West End when we came across this gem of a restaurant. We decided to stop in to eat and were pleasantly surprised. As you enter, there is a huge area with plants and other gardening supplies and merchandise. We had a 20 minute wait for a table. But, that was just enough time to walk through the shop and into the back areas with more plants for sale. We sat in the patio area which was lovely. Babs was our waitress and she was great! She explained the menu options and answered our questions about the history of the restaurant and the building. I ordered the Grain Bowl which was delicious! Wheat berries, arugula, sweet potato, brussel sprouts and more! My husband ordered the Reuben which was made with their house-made pastrami and came with shoe string fries. He also enjoyed his meal. We will be back!

What a lovely treat to have brunch at Bowood. All the food we ordered is delicious. The ambience is absolutely phenomenal. I felt like I was transported to a beautiful sanctuary. The service is attentive as well. Bowood is highly popular, so a reservation is recommended in advance. Both indoors and outdoors seating are lovely. As far as food, we love the Maryland crab Benedict. They used two nice sized crabcake to substitute the English muffin. The hollandaise sauce on top is well made. The soft scrambled egg dish is a nice option as well, if a lighter dish is preferred. I will absolutely be back in a heartbeat!! Bowood has become one of my favorite restaurants in St Louis.

Excellent brunch spot! Bowood by Niche has been in my radar for a few years and it did not disappoint! The indoor dining area is bright, peaceful, and full of tasteful botany decor. We were seated by the window and were able to view the tasteful outdoor seating. Our food was excellent! I had the Vermont Cheddar Waffle--using the butter provided and the small jam jars at the table my meal was the perfect mix of savory and sweet! Others in my party enjoyed the cacio e pepe eggs, classic breakfast, breakfast potatoes, and the cauliflower soup (served warm). Bowood by Niche was the perfect brunch meal to cap off our celebratory weekend! Tip: make reservations ahead of time! As we explored the garden shop after eating, we heard the wait time for others was 45-60 minutes.

Attached to a plant nursery, this breakfast and lunch spot is open daily from 9am-3pm. There is a full bar with coffee and pastries available for separate purchase, while shopping. Inside the actual restaurant is adorable with an outside patio. There is limited seating so a reservation is highly recommended, which can be made on their website! Not only is the atmosphere great here, but the food as well. Everything tastes very fresh, which I love. The Cacio e pepe is a great light option: with eggs, a sourdough slice, & a mixed green salad dressed in their house vinaigrette. Versus the pancakes, my friend claimed they were the best he's ever had. Both fluffy and dense, very tasty as well. My favorite is the housemade pork sausage which has such great flavor! Perfect place to come for a bite to eat with friends or family.

A cute cafe in a flower/garden shop. We made a reservation on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. I ordered an oat milk latte and Cacio e Pepe eggs. The eggs were very flavorful but not overpowering! I appreciate how creative the menu is. The space is very beautiful and open.

Perfect greeting by the staff and the best high chairs. Food came out in a timely manner. My sandwich was super cheesy but I knew this but I still wasn't ready. I think I should have added tomatoes for a little acid and kick. Huge side serving of fruit and fries for my toddler who ate them up. Husband's Reuben was pretty good.

Truly a one of a kind of place! My expectations were exceeded by a long shot. Bowood by Niche has been on my list of places to try for quite some time, I've heard great things for over a year. I made reservations because I've heard its a hopping spot to get into, I'm sure glad I did as it was exactly that. I accidently made it for 2 meaning to reserve a table for 3, online reservations were so packed I couldn't modify my reservation. I called to see if I could make the update over the phone, the employee who answered was super helpful, understanding and generously made the change for me. Upon arriving I'm not sure if I was more excited to shop or eat. The atmosphere is like no other; a kind of greenhouse tea party. Magical. We were sat right away and had water and menus waiting for us. Our waitress was very friendly and personable, so mush so that the others at the table complemented her immensely. Their drink menu is as elaborate as the food options, what you'd imagine for a brunch/lunch spot but unique enough to make them stand out from the rest. Our table ordered a variety of drinks; latte, fresh squeezed orange juice and sparkling tea, everyone was very pleased. Food was super fresh, freshly made and portions were generous. Maryland Crab Benedict was divine, Breakfast Sandwich was huge and the Chicken Caesar Wrap hit the spot. Ordered a Cosmic Brownie to go to take home and then immediately rebooked another reservation to return with my husband!

The food at Bowood is so good. The ambiance with all the plants really makes me happy... and need a wheelbarrow to take my new plants to get to the car. I've had several brunch options with eggs that were all so tasty I'd get them again. I also had the burger and fries once and it was the perfect option to save my day from a little too much wine the night before. I also brought my partner one of their cosmic brownies and he was kind enough to share. It was a little fudgier than your average brownie and I was not mad about it. He wished I brought more home. I'll definitely be back to try the Cobb salad, the wrap, and of course, the pastries.

My friend and I met at Bowood for brunch last weekend. We made a reservation for 12:45 (highly recommend a reservation) and were seated around 12:55. I was very excited for the weather to be so nice, because we were able to sit out in the courtyard which was perfection. Our server was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. This time I ordered a classic breakfast with eggs, toast, potatoes and vegan sausage. Everything was so delicious. Those potatoes were crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside (not to mention perfect temperature). One little thing I really appreciated is that they had small jars of my favorite brand of jelly (Bonne Maman)! This was excellent on the toast and really made my day to see. Our drinks were refreshing (I loved the NA options) and the food was just delicious. My friend had never been before, so she was really impressed with the freshness and flavors. Everything is presented to nicely and honestly, this is a great brunch spot.

Bowood is one of my favorite brunch places in stl! The food is great but also I love the nursery. It's such a cute place to come with friends, if you're traveling from out of town or even a date. I highly recommend making a reservation. Today, we did not and had a 45 minute wait (we also came at prime Sunday brunch time). We weren't in a hurry so decided to accept the wait knowing the food would be worth it. We walked around the nursery while we waited which killed the majority of the time. We ended up buying a little succulent! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and was able to give us tips on how to care for it upon purchase. I also noticed they have workshops you can sign up for which I think would be fun to do with my mom! Once our wait was over we sat at the bar. Both the bartenders were attentive and nice. My husband ordered a cortado. He enjoyed it and had a nice boast of energy afterwards. I'm not a coffee drinker so I opted for the freshly squeezed orange juice which did not disappoint. For our meal, I got the Maryland crab cake Benedict which was really good! I hate when you order a crab cake and it's mostly breading and stuffing. This crab cake had chunks of crab! My husband ordered the Rueben and subbed the fries for the breakfast potatoes. He said, " it was fantastic and I have nothing negative to say." I'm glad he got the breakfast potatoes because I was able to eat about half of them and they are so good! They are crispy with the perfect amount of seasoning on them! There is street parking but also a little lot across the street you can park in. I've personally never had an issue parking.
